Oceanic Records incorporates a custom-designed recording studio privately set on a beautiful 185 acre rural property overlooking the historic NSW Southern Tablelands village of Crookwell. Free accommodation at the studio is available for bookings of two or more days of studio time.
Designed by studio guru John Sayers, the 4-room facility features an acoustically-designed mix/control room, live room, vocal-tracking room and isolation booth.
Equipment includes Audient 4816 all-analog British recording console, offering 16-24 channels tracking/48 channels mix down, Lynx Aurora AD/DA converters with AES PCIe interfacing.
Neumann U87, Sennheiser, EV, Shure, Oktava, Rode microphones. Outboard includes Lexicon reverbs and multi FX, Buzz Audio stereo optical compressors, Great River and Avedis mic pre amps, Lindell equalisation, Warm Audio FET compressor. Monitoring includes Adam A77X and Yamaha HS80M pairs.
Instruments include Kurzweil K2600, Yamaha AN1X analog modelling synth, fully loaded Roland JV2080, Hammond organ, Yamaha Stage Custom drum kit, Fender and Nash bass guitars (62 Jazz and 70 P Bass), Fender Superchamp amp + more.
