OUR STUDIO
Old Binda Road incorporates a custom-designed recording studio privately set on a beautiful 190 acre rural property overlooking the historic NSW Southern Tablelands village of Crookwell. Free accommodation at the studio is available for bookings of two or more days of studio time.
Designed by studio guru John Sayers, the 4-room facility features an acoustically-designed mix/control room, live room, vocal-tracking room and isolation booth.
Equipment includes Audient 4816 all-analog British recording console, offering 16-24 channels tracking/48 channels mix down, Lynx Aurora AD/DA converters with AES PCIe interfacing.
Extensive mic list includes Gunter Wagner-modified U87 Neumann, USA hand-built Heiserman HK47 tube microphone (modern U47), Sennheiser 421 x 4, Coles 4038 x 2, Shure 57 x 4, 58 x 2, modified Oktava MK012 x 4, MK319 x 2, MK219, Beyer Dynamic MG88, DT70, TG151 x 4, Heil Pro, AKG D112, D25 x 4, SE Electronics, LIL FREQ Sub Kick, Little Blondie, Rode microphones plus numerous others. Outboard includes Lexicon and TC Electronic reverbs and multi FX, Buzz Audio stereo optical compressors, Great River, ADL-600 and Avedis mic pre amps, Lindell equalisation, DBX and Warm Audio FET compressors. Monitoring includes Adam A77X and Yamaha HS80M pairs, Yamaha DSX 15MK2 sub. Hear Back headphone monitoring system for tracking and overdubs.
Instruments include Kurzweil K2600, Yamaha AN1X analog modelling synth, fully loaded Roland JV2080, Yamaha P45 fully weighted 88-key digital piano linked to extensive sample libraries, Yamaha Stage Custom drum kit, PDP MX Series full maple drum kit, Rogers Dynasonic snare, Cajon, Fender and Nash bass guitars (62 and 75 Jazz and 70 P Bass), Fender Hybrid 60s Telecaster, VOX AC30 tube amp 2 x 12 Celestial Greenbacks, 15w Fender Super Champ tube amp, Ampeg PF20T 20-watt tube bass head with matching cab, Fender Rumble 500 bass amp. Countryman & Radial DI boxes, heaps of percussion.

FREE self-contained accommodation (sleeps up to 6) directly adjacent to the studio is available to artists booking two or more days of studio time. Facilities include a huge 6m indoor heated swim spa/jacuzzi.
